Our client is a 365 bed military hospital in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The hospital provides medical services to the members of the UAE Armed Forces and their families. The hospital holds JCI accreditation and provides tertiary care medical services.

Description
- To provide Consultant-level patient care, protect and promote the health of patients and the public by providing current and effective evidence-based standard of practice and care.
- Abide and follow the implemented policies and tasks specified by the Medical Services Corp, Hospital Administration, and those to whom he/she reports to, including assisting with the administration of the Unit and/or Department, suggesting changes in services or policy, and performing any particular duties delegated to him or her by higher authority.
- Prescribe drugs or treatment, including repeat prescriptions, only when you have adequate knowledge of the patient's health, and are satisfied that the drugs or treatment serve the patient's need.
- Recognize and work within the limits of competence.
- Provide effective treatments based on the best available evidence.
- Should have up-to-date knowledge and skills and be familiar with relevant international guidelines and developments in the field, and also participate in educational activities/conferences that maintain and further develop competence and performance.
- Keep clear, accurate and legible records, reporting the relevant clinical findings, the decisions made, the information given to patients, and any drugs prescribed or other investigation or treatment.
- Consult and take advice from colleagues, where appropriate.
- Make good use of the resources available.
- Perform on-call duties as required.
Qualifications

American Board Certified or Canadian Fellowship or Fellowship from a Western Country Experience Minimum of 6 years postgraduate experience as a Consultant
